DSCHANG 100 YEARS PARTY is a centennial celebration of the city of Dschang. A year-long commemoration, from January 2018 to December 2018 and will be held on several carefully selected sites throughout the department of Menoua.
As rich in history as the achievements of personalities from Dschang or simply residing there do not allow the centenary of the creation of this city goes unnoticed without a commemoration worthy of the name. Therefore, on this occasion, we wish to honor, through a variety of exciting events, the rich traditions and history of this city and its region. This will be done through music, sport, literature, preservation and conservation, technology, heritage study and culture. All that makes Dschang so unique and special. Our ambition, beyond this commemoration, is to contribute to the social and economic development of Dschang and the department of Menoua, with the secret desire that this event serve as a catalyst and leave traces long after the celebration.

The commune of Dschang located in the department of Menoua region of West Cameroon was created by Decree No. 2007/117 of 24 April 2007 of the President of the Republic establishing communes. It covers an area of 262 km2 distributed in its urban space which counts 20 communities and in the rural zone which counts 96.

All groups have similar divisions: the territory of each grouping is divided into villages (formerly called subdomiefs) and neighborhoods. The villages or (sub-chiefdoms) are also divided into quarters. In each grouping, one distinguishes the originally completely independent villages which were conquered and submitted by the group (following a war or by other means) other villages raised as such by an act of the group leader (grouping certain neighborhoods, ennobling some neighborhood chiefs).
